Spring (HA!) Semester...

The new semester is upon me at the Utah State University. I've got an Economics online class & English 2010. In English, I'm currently writing my autobiography. If you've got any suggestions, I'm takin' 'em. I don't think my life is very interesting, but you might. Wish me luck this semester. I'm taking it more serious than last. I think I've found a recipe for success. Crossing my fingers.

I got my brand new spankin' ipod!!!

I scrimped & saved for months. Plus, my year end bonus helped A LOT. Thanks, Robert. It's a beautiful thing. Thanks to my friend Greg "Mother" Tucker for the discount. I can't wait to fill this up with everything I have & need.

Next on my list...
30th Anniversary Bad Religion Vinyl Box Set

I need this, & it's gonna happen. (Where's my sugar momma? Anyone...) I hope they're around when it does. I need to find a lay-away plan.

After, I went & bought a few records to fill it...

Bad Religion: The Dissent of Man (Congrats on finally making Targets: Promising Artists. It only took 30 years or so.)
Mumford & Sons: Sigh No More
Randy Newman: I love LA---Because I do love LA & ALL my peeps (Yes, I said peeps. Hi Jake, Norah, Georgia, Tommy, & Naomi).

To name a few. I got more, but I'm sure you don't want to hear about my limited edition, blue blah blah blah.

Also, dinner with my friends, Ingrid & Aaron, at Red Iguana II. So delicious. I could drink the salsa. I love these people. I can't wait to see them next month.

Loganites... If you see a three legged Jack Russell Terrier. I know of a family who is desperately looking for him. His names Rocco.

Last, I saw my campus crush yesterday. My heart skipped a beat. Now, I need to grow some &@!!$ & give it a go.

Hope all is well...

See you in the future...

Oh the New Year...

I've never been a fan of New Year's. I don't think I've gone out or did anything special since I've hit 30. This year I went to the basketball game and did laundry. I saw the ball drop in New York at 2200 my time & promptly went to bed. Actually, I went & read a book (Ranger's Apprentice #9, Halt's Peril... I highly recommend them if you are in need of some candy. Well written & fun characters that have grown before my eyes. The author's Australian; so I've had to wait a year between books to see what happens next.)

Anyway, New Year's always makes me think I want to happen in say 2011 that didn't in 2010. So here are a few things that I hope will happen in 2011... Hopefully, writing them here will help...

1- Date more... I say this every year. It still hasn't happened as much as I'd like. I'm just scared to death by it. It's just been easier to be by myself. I really like it, but that's what scares me. I plan I signing up for a online dating site that's not ldssingles.com. Any suggestions...

2- Get my savings rolling again... Before I was laid off I had quite a nest egg. It's now down to almost nil. It served me well, but I'll be happy when I can get where I want it. I'm still not spending one dollar bills or change. That seems to add up quick.

3- Remember school is still a high priority... I lost track of that fact. Fall semester didn't go as well as I'd like, but I passed. School & work is a lethal combo; I'd like to learn to cope with both.

4- Remember to be grateful for the things & people I have in my life. I get caught up in myself a lot. I try not to, but it's my nature.

5- Write more... I'm going to be posting life stories once a month. I need to get these down on "paper" before I forget.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Thank you for reading all of you...

See you in the future...

I've got to add this... Might be my new fav...

What the...

HELL is this?

I saw this while waiting for Barefoot Contessa to come back on...

I don't know if I have words to describe... I'm rolling my eyes & shaking my head. I will say this is worse than jeggings.

So... Jeggings (?)...

As I was looking for my pants (I only wear AE relax style. Two SLC malls didn't carry them. Thank you Cache Valley Mall.), a girl in front of me was asking if "jeggings" came in a tall. I look down; she's already wearing a pair. The employee began to tell her they didn't come in a tall, but if you roll them up, they look cute. I said to myself, "Wait a minute. I know about jeggings." I proceeded to tell them that they do in fact come in a tall. I saw Conan wear them on his show, & he's a tall drink of water. Proof...

The girl just ignored me & got her handling advice from the girl at the register. She really was too cool for school.

No offense ladies, I luv you in your skinny jeans. Trust me, I do a few double takes. I even luv you in leggings: black, grey, blue, or whatever. BUT jeggings, except on Bergen, are ridiculous.

Also, the Cache Valley Mall has killed another store that I like to peruse. Hot Topic is on it's way out. Thanks for the cheap records that no one would buy except me when on discount. I'll remember you fondly. I've come to realize that Cache Valley can't keep anything cool within their mitts. So long... Fair well...

See you in the future...

December 28th, 1978...

I was born 32 years ago today. Looking back it seemed so far away. Thank you to all those who said, texted, phoned, or emailed me birthday tidings... You all important people in my life.

See you all in the future...

Castaic/ Santa Clairita '10

As you may all know, after my final, I jetted down to Los Angeles & up to Castaic to be with some of the greatest people, the Wildes, & Meldrums. (Totally surprised to see MeMa the first night.) This is the 9th year in a row I've been, & I plan on doing it every year going forward. (Dear Future Wife, I hope that's ok, or that's a deal breaker.) Our group has almost tripled since our trips inaugural time, December 28th, 2001. That first trip to Uncle Wlat's was Me, Melanie Ledingham, Tim LaRue, & Kelsi Doolittle-Meldrum. Now, there's husbands & kids. Every year our group has added to it. I was told it's up to me for next year. Here's to hoping...

I know you're all dying to see pictures. A little warning, I don't really like taking pictures. I rarely smile as it is & to force it for a picture is hard. So, if I'm not smiling, don't think I'm not having fun. I AM.

We got there at 900am...

The wives & Mel luv this photo; I can guarantee that. This is me, Lin, & John pushing the kids (Minus Naomi) on our way to "Mall World".

This is T & T2. I'm the original, Terminator, but not as good as the sequel, Terminator 2. What am I saying? Thomas Scott (T) & Thomas Murray (T2) on "Mall World".

Here are the Meldrums on the Tea Cups. It was advised I not to ride due to my stomach. I didn't want to soil Uncle Walt's sacred land; I've already marked California Adventure. Damn you, Churro's!!!

Melanie & Norah on Sleeping Beauty's (Aurora) Carousel. I'm right in front of her. I guess I won the race.

Moms, "Nieces & Nephews" (from L to R) Norah, Tommy, Georgia, Naomi, & Jake. Thanks, Jake for looking at the camera. Good boy.

Me & Jake on Buzz Lightyear

Me, Mel, Lin, & John on Space Mountain. The bicthinest ride of them all. If I could stay on & go around as many times as I want, I so would. Tongue's waging was NOT planned by Lin & I.

Me & my Uncle Walt

There'll be more to come. (Missing pictures... Hint, hint.) I just want to give you a little taste. This was on a Thursday. The next day it started raining & hasn't let up.

Hope all have a good holiday.

See you in the future...
